أُرغمت على ابتلاع صورة هذه المديــنة حتى تجّرح حلقي، أريــد الآن أن أحرّف هذه الصورة واطويها مثلما أشاء، أن أنتقم لكل اللحظــــــــات التي رأيت فيها المدينة، إذ تهيمن عليها الانطباعـات التي تفرضهـا الماكينة البصرية للقوميّة ورأس المال، ثم تُعاد وتُعاد. كيف لي أن أربأَ هذا الصدع بين مكاني وبين الصور البصرية التي تُجتّر فيه؟
I have been force-fed this city's image until my throat cracked. Now it is time for me to twist it and warp it as I please. I am avenging for all the times I have witnessed the hegemonic impression of the city produced by the visual machinery of nationalism and capital, being replayed over and over again. How do I reconcile the gap between the actual place of my locality and the visual images constantly being regurgitated?
لم يعد بمقدوري أن أتفهّم أولئك الذيـن ينظرون إلى الفوضى برومنسـية إكزوتيكية، أولئك المتواطئين. كم كنت أتمنّى أن تُهزّنا هذه الموجة الصوتية التي أحسسنا بها معًا لتخرجنا عن طورنا، فكرت، "المازوشية لا حدود لها"، ونحن نكنس شظايا الزجاج لساعات، ثم أيام، ثم أسابيع.
I can no longer lend my understanding to anyone who romanticizes chaos as exotic; I see you as an accomplice.I was really hoping that the sound wave we've experienced collectively would shake us out of our docility. "masochism knows no limits" I thought to myself as we kept on sweeping glass for hours, then days, then weeks.

يحاول عملي استكشاف الطبقات المختلفة للعلاقات ضمن المجتمع، في الثقافة، في الإعلام وتقنياته، وفي الذات المتجسدة والتجربة المعاشة، في الآخر. يبرز تساؤل دائم، عن الديناميكيات التي تشكل وتحدد هذه الأطراف الاجتماعية، فيما أركز بشكل أساسي على التكنولوجيا بمعانيها الواسعة كأدوات ثقافية، وعلى اشتمالاتها اللغوية،
ودورها كمُرافق تطوّري تحريضي، ومكمّلات لتصوّراتنا، كما أحاول تحييدها من المسار الخطي والأحادي في علاقتها مع الإنسان، لإرسائها في شبكة من العناصر الفاعلة، منها الناشطة والراكدة، والمتحركة والجامدة، والعضوية وغير العضوية وفي تواصلها الدائم مع بعضها البعض.

My work attempts to explore the different levels of relationships within societies: culture, media and their technologies; the embodied self and lived experience; the Other. A constant questioning of the dynamics at play between and within these social actors. My main focus is on technology taken in its broadest definition as cultural tools, encompassing language,
as evolutionary companions and instigators, and extensions of our perception. I attempt to remove it from a unidirectional and linear relationship with the human to situate it in a network of agents, active/ passive, animate/ inanimate, organic/ inorganic, in constant communication with one another.
